    Hi,

I'm currently testing the 4.2.0.2 firmware (deploying on iap 205's) for our customer to try and get some better performance from ARM, as some sites have APs a bit closely deployed so trying to tweak the min/max power values.

    I'm proposing to try:

    • Min  9 - max 15 on 2.4GHz
    • Min 15 - Max 21 on 5GHz.

We currently run the default of min 15 and set to max (127) as a single setting for both bands. All seems well so far in our lab with the per band settings above, but I'm not seeing the reduction in power on the bands I've specified as 11ac value on VisualRF for my lab iAP has power showing as 24db.

So, with these per band settings, do we then have to change the 'global' setting under RF -> ARM -> advanced -> access point control?!

    Any help is much appreciated

    Cheers,

    Danny

Yes.  The global settings control the maximum power of your access points in that cluster on each band.
