Controllerless Networks

Hi I am trying to setup my Guest SSID with a splash screen, with this I would like to trottle back the bandwidth of the users to 2 mbps up and downstream.

when I set the PSK on the security tab and then set the 2mbps on the access tab and add a rule under bandwidth contract.  All the settings wont save the role based/bandwith rule gowes back to unrestricted.

Am I missing something

1. So I goto Configuration> Access Control there is no user roles just unrestricted, Network based and role based. I went into role based and set the bandwidth but it wont keep the setting if I have encryption enabled, when I go back to Access it is back at unrestricted

• OK we dont have an enforcement license installed

If I got to WLAN setting and advanced options there is an area for bandwidth Limits do I need the enforcement License for that and will that give me what I need

We created a new user role called guest and then under the Bandwidth Contracts tab we set bandwidth limits.  Hope this helps

I just tested it on IAP running 6.5.4.4. Yes the knob goes back to unrestricted, however if you move it back to Role based, & click on the role, you would see the bandwidth contract in place.

If you SSH into IAP and do a show run, you can see something like:

wlan access-rule "SSID1"
index 3
rule any any match any any any permit
bandwidth-limit downstream 4
bandwidth-limit upstream 2

So definitely the config is getting saved, atleast on the latest version.

But why did the slider move back to unrestricted?

I will get a bug filed for it.
