There should be a small hole on the bottom.  Stick a paper clip in there, power up, and wait until the power LED flashes quickly.  That will convert it back

Try it again; make sure you hold the paperclip in there while powering up for at least 5 seconds before releasing th reset button.  See the diagram and instructions below.   If it doesn't work, call support as Seth suggests.

You can console in to the AP and reset the AP using the reset button at the same time, you can see the boot sequence and if it had cleared the config.

If factory reset is not working, please share the following info from APBOOT:

    Output of ?printenv'
    Output of ?mfginfo?
    Output of ?osinfo?

Also, another way of doing factory reset is the command ?factory_reset? in APBOOT.

However, I recommend against performing upgrade in APBOOT without clear instructions from Aruba.

    Thanks,

    Yan

Thats wonderful that you solved it by upgrading the image! Exactly how did you do this? I am having the exact same problem, could you perhabs do a step by step solution and/or link me in the right direction? Many thanks!

factory_reset command should have worked for you instead of purgeenv from the console.

make sure to flash the correct partition , as the IAP has partiiton_1 containing "always" the IAP OS , and partition0 containing a copy from it , and can be temporarily flashed with controller-based flash for the IAP to be running as AP .

i had once the same problem and i had to setenv the correct partition and then i was able to recover or reflash .
