    Hi,

    Trying to upgrade a 115 cluster from 4.0.0.1 to 4.0.0.6 which is the available firmware in the cloud. Get the following log error. It is trying to get 4.0.0.7 which doesn't seem to exist.

    just an FYI for all.

    well nevermind, looks like they were in the middle of updating the cloud with 4.0.0.7...

    4.0.0.7 is now available in the cloud it would seem

    I'm still having this issue. Image download fails every time I try for the past two days.

    Anyone else?

    Can you confirm that your IAPs are Aruba or Dell / Alcatel branded?

    mine were Aruba

    They are Aruba, IAP-105.

    PS: I upgraded them all to their existing firmware version just one or two weeks ago without an issue. The current firmware version is: 6.3.1.4-4.0.0.6_44126

    Here is the log from just the first two of the 36 we have installed:

    We just changed the Colo for the upgrade server on Sept. 6th  and the IP address has changed from 199.27.105.183 to104.36.249.199.

    Go to the CLI on your IAP and ping device.arubanetworks.com to see what you are resolving to.  You may have the old IP cached.

    Marcus,

    device.arubanetworks.com is resolving to 104.36.249.201, but the firmware is trying to be downloaded from images.arubanetworks.com as you can see from my log above, which is resolving to 199.27.105.183 both from here, at the office, and from my home (just used SSH to check from my dev Linux box), which are on separate networks and using different DNS servers.

    Is it possible that images.arubanetworks.com was overlooked during the Colo move?

    Peace,

    Tom

    The old IP might be cached.   Can you reload as a test?

    That was using nslookup after doing an ipconfig /flushdns. Not cached...

    IT is still looking into the issue.

    In the meantime there are several options for SW upgrades:

    1. Use automatic updates.  This is not working for some as the DNS server they are using has not received the updated IP address.  The old address for images.arubanetworks.com  is 199.27.105.183 and the new IP is104.36.249.199.

    2. You can log into the TAC site and manually download IAP upgrades.  This assumes you have an active support contract.

    3. You can point your web browser to:  http://104.36.249.199/fwfiles/ArubaInstant_Orion_6.3.1.8-4.0.0.7_44641 to download the file to your PC then manually upgrade.

    4. You can go to the IAP maintenance page and specify the upgrade URL as: http://104.36.249.199/fwfiles/ArubaInstant_Orion_6.3.1.8-4.0.0.7_44641

    NOTE:  You need to specify the HW type as part of the URL above.  In the example provided "Orion" refers to : -92/93, -104/105, -175, RAP-3.

    Aries=RAP-155

    Cassiopeia= -134/135

    Centaurus=-224/225, -274/275

    Pegasus= -108/109, -114/115, -103

    #RAP155

    Our IT department fixed the external DNS entry for images.arubanetworks.com.  My IAP now resolves to the correct IP address for images.

      NOTE: I did have to reboot my IAP to clear out the old entry.

    I used the manual file update. Worked great.

    Thanks,
