    Hi,

    Customer reports poor coverage.

There are two IAP-93 in a building, ARM is set to Min power 18, Max power unlimited.

Howerver instants show power 14db on first and 16db on second....see screenshot

    Why is this happening?

    Notes:

-this is 3.2.0.2. Same behaviour with 3.2.0.4

-if I set power manualy, same behaviour.

    Thanks for your advice...

Please share how do you have it configured in the ARM settings

If you double click on the that particular IAP , in the radio tab it gives you the option of changing the ARM assigned or administrator assigned .

And see you can assign it manually and if that's the case you might have to open a TAC case

I had similar issue with IAP-105s initially but upgrading to firmware version 6.2.0.0-3.2.0.2_37229  corrected this problem for me.

    Assigning power manually didn't help.

Well, I've finaly found where the strange power levels come from - "show log driver":

    Mon May 20 15:47:47 2013:55         10.223106 wifi0: EIRP (Config: 18.0dBm, Set: 13.0dBm, AP Max: 20.5dBm, Reg Max: 20dBm), Conducted Power Set: 10.5dBm, Gain: 2.5dBm

So I did quick comparing to IAP-105 (now both APs are 3.3.0.x) and guess what - it is different:

(ARM set on both APs to min/max 18/18db)

    IAP-105 :

    Seem's that:

    1) we have a REAL problem here, signal measured on PC is lower

    2) AP92 driver code for some reason subtracts 5db (sometimes less)
