IAP join to controller

    hi all, seeking your help for this matter:

    I have a newly bought aruba IAP 315, i want it to join to my virtual controller but the controller cannot detect it even i have set the initial configs on the IAP. My question is:

    1. Do i need to convert my newly bought IAP 315 to "Remote AP's managed by a mobility controller? If not please advise what to do

     

    2. If i convert it and input the IP of our virtual controller, does it will affect our other AP's that are connected to network?

    The IAP is based on virtual controllers. Assigning a virtual controller IP does not affect it.
