i configured user-debug to the DEBUG level and on the IAP (105, with version      6.3.1.8-4.0.0.7_44641) i see messages upto the DEBUG level with show log user-debug. but the IAP doesn't seem to send everything to the syslog server (checked with wireshark).

    is this expected behaviour?

    iap-01# show syslog-level

    Logging Level
    -------------
    Facility Level
    -------- -----
    ap-debug warn
    network warn
    security warn
    system warn
    user warn
    user-debug debug
    wireless warn

    iap-01# show log user-debug

    What is missing?

The "user-debug" only sends debug info for SPECIFIC users you have enabled debugging for, and not ALL users...  Are you saying that the syslog output is missing for those specific users, as well?

i don't believe that with IAPs you can user-debug on a specific MAC level. i couldn't find that option at least in this version. it seems to be an all or nothing deal.

and with the all deal it does work on the local log, it just doesnt forward anything worse then warning to syslog.
