Installing Instant AP firmware on an AP-225

    Hi,

    I've got a controller managed AP-225 that I'd like to install the Instant AP firmware onto. I've managed to download and install the latest firmware, but although my DHCP server assigns an IP address and I can https to the AP via my wired network ( no SSID visible from the 225), at the InstantAP login page when I enter admin/admin as the user name/ password I keep getting an invalid username or password message.

     

    I can log into the console using admin/admin though, what else do I have to do to be able to log into the AP?

    You will likely need to factory default it at the console, or hold the reset button. It is an IAP-225 correct?

    It's not an IAP-225 , its an AP-225 that I've uploadd the latest IAP firmware onto into flash 0

    Hi,there! I got my hands on a AP-225. Wondering if you were able to flash instant OS on yours? I know it's been 2 years but the thing is still looking capable.

    Did you factory reset the AP using the hard reset button on the bottom?

    You cannot install Instant software on a non-Instant AP...
