    Hi

     

    I have a customer with Instant AP105 and AP205 using WPA2-AES.  They are using Hand Held Terminals (HHTs) to scan barcodes. 

     

    When the HHTs are not used for a period of time they can't connect to the SQL server until the HHTs are pinged and then they come back to life.  They drop the 1st few pings and then are OK.

     

    Any ideas?

    Do they have any type of sleep timer configuration in the settings?

     

    Is this a PSK network or 802.1X?

    Hi Tim

     

    At present they are using WPA2-PSK but we are planning to be locking the network down to MAC authentication by MAC adddress of the HHTs once everything is working OK.

     

    When you refer to sleeptime settings, are you refering to the HHTs?

    Are these devices 802.11b/g only ?
