Instant VC Config

    I am getting a little confused with a new IAP install I am working on. I have configured one of my IAP as the master and configed the VC IP address, however the IAP I chose for the VC is never actually the master. All others APs have the Master option disabled.

     

    Any thoughts?

    Yes I configured it as the preferred master.

    The AP that is the VC at the time should have the asterisk right after its name.  Are you saying that this is not the case after setting it to the preferred master?

    I would run:

     

    (Instant AP)# show election statistics

    (Instant AP)# show summary support

     

    On both of those APs commandline to determine what is going on.

     

    Also collect "show log system" from both APs (1 and 7).
