    Hello,

I'm having a problem with Zones (a cluster with 515 and 315 access points running 8.4.0.6). I have set the zone name in the network and then assigned it to the access point, after doing this the network dissappears. What am I doing wrong?

    Appreicate any advice.

    Many thanks Paul.

You can configure zones at WLAN/SSID level and at AP level.

If the SSIDs don’t have a zone configuration, then it will be broadcasted by all the APs irrespective of the AP zones.

    For example

    SSID-1, zone= <empty>

    SSID-2, zone= room2

    AP1, zone = <empty>

    AP2, zone = room2

Then you’ll see SSID1 and SSID2 being broadcasted on AP2, and SSID-1 being broadcasted on AP1

    Now if you change SSID-1, zone= room1 and  AP1, zone = room1

You’ll see SSID2 being broadcasted on AP2, and SSID-1 being broadcasted on AP1

If the zone name set to the ssid/network matches the zone set to the AP then it should broadcast to that AP. I'd make sure the zone name matches exactly and ensure the zone name is set to the AP zone and not the RF zone.
