    Hello.

Does it apply (MAC auth size table = 512) for IAP 205?

    Thanks,

Honestly, we always get questions about mac authentication and how many devices are supported.  The truth is, mac authentication is only good in very small environments when the mac authentication list is manageable.  Mac authentication is also not very secure.  Anything over a certain number is tedious to manage.  Knowing when a device is no longer in use, servicing requests to add and remove devices consumes alot of time for the administrator.  It is better to go to 802.1x and authenticate to Active Directory with a username and password which provides security and less maintenence for the administrator.

Aruba only provides mac authentication because people still use it, not because it is a best practice.
