Does anyone know where I can find the MTBF for IAP-105 access points? What about the MTBF for all IAPs models?

Thanks. Where did you get this information? I'd like to have this available for all IAPs for future reference. Chances are that the IAP-105 is not the only IAP that I will help deploy.

By the way, this MTBF is for an AP-105. Are you stating that the MTBF is the same for an IAP-105? Although both devices are the same form factor, one could argue that the IAP-105 requires more resources to function in a cluster than an AP-105.

The numbers are available to me internally.

The MTBF numbers are the same for the AP-105 and IAP-105.

    Hi,

I'd need the MTBF for AP-93 model.

    Thanks in advance

MTBF for (I)AP-93 is 365k hours (at 25C).

Telcordia SR-332 Issue 2, Method I (Parts Count), Case 3, GB/GC (Ground Benign, Controlled) environment.

For most current AP models, you'll find this info in the datasheet.

Note that MTBF is a very pessimistic way to estimate the actual failure rate for the Aruba APs.

365khrs would translate to an annual failure rate (AFR) of 2.4%. The (I)AP-93 never exceeded an actual AFR of 0.2% (based on warranty returns).

Employees and partners can access the MTBF information on Arubapedia (for Partners).
