    Hi,

With Aruba Instant AP is there any limitation on the minimum number of IAPs that should be present in a cluster to effectively detect Rogue APs.

    Thanks,

    Tuhin

    Hi,

    :smileyhappy:

It's depends if one unit cover all your client location.

If just 1 unit cover all his location with RF (in 2.4 & 5)  - so yes , one it's enough.

(i usually like put 2 Accesspoint  in opposite walls. (1+2=3) but again,it's all depends on the size of your client site.)

    Me.

PCI requires rogue detection in our point-of-sale, so we hang one in the vicinity of our checklanes (replacing the AP65 currently in place)

We set it up in monitor only mode for full-time WIPS, but it gives us a VC in the store so we can add 10-12 more iAP units later to cover the store with WiFi and extend the WIPS store-wide when they're not servicing clients.

One is not only enough (if it can see the required airspace) its a great start!
