    Hi

i'm sitting here in lockdown with an APIN0205 model AP wondering if I can persuade it to talk to Aruba activate in order to convert it into a RAP

There is a white sticker on the back that says AP-105 so not sure if  the APIN... bit means it can be converted to an instant AP or not.

From the console I can do a factory reset and reboot but a printenv from the CLI says the bootenv is "boot ap".

haven't set up aruba-master in my local home dns  so the AP gets to the running ADP stage and keeps rebooting

Can I set this AP up to talk to activate.arubanetworks.com where I've added it to the IAPto RAP folder?

    Rgds

    Alex

p.s. would setting "option 43 activate-disable=False;" on my dhcp server  nudge it towards using Activate ?

    alexsuoy,

Only Instant-based APs (or Universal APs) attempt to talk to activate.  APs purchased as Campus APS do not.
