I have a WiFi-Texas WS-GPOE-6-10/100/1000 6 port power injector with ac power plugged in and my Aruba IAP 325 plugged in with PoE. I should have two solid green lights but i'm getting a solid Amber and a solid Green light. The Mbps is going from 425 to 225 back and forth where even at 2.4Ghzt i should be getting at least 800Mbps. I would like to get the fastest speed possible with this device and believe i have the right amount of power going to the AP. I have two of these Aruba's and they are the only things plugged into the power injector.

You can console in to the AP and watch it boot up to verify you are getting full power (which you should). From there, you need to check your config on the IAP, but you will only get 800Mbps on 2.4Ghz with 40MHz channels and a 4x4 client (which you likely don't have). 2.4Ghz should ONLY be running at HT20 due to lack of spectrum availability in the 2.4Ghz space. You would have to likely explicitly enable 40Mhz in the 2.4Ghz radio.

Note you will never get max rates in 2.4Ghz unless inside a faraday cage, there's just too much interference.

What are you seeing at 5Ghz?

The laptops are connecting to the 2.4Ghzt only, there is nothing on the 5Ghzt. There is a neighboring company we see using the same channel, if we change channel what should we use for the transmit power setting? Also could it have something to do with power because of the solid amber and solid green instead of two solid greens?

    The AP325 should get POE+ (802.3at)

    Capture2.PNG

and your POE switch is only suitable to support 802.3af,what cuasing the 325 to work in 1x1x1 on 2.4....

    Capture.PNG

    and 802.11ac like 800+Mbps are available only in 5Ghz ... not 2.4Ghz

Regarding your power question - use default ARM settings in the begining.

Is this the POE unit? It sounds like AF power as well, but from this (http://wifi-texas.com/pdf/WS-GPOE-6-insert.pdf) it seems you can configure AT power...would need more info on the exact config, but looking at the console output of the AP will tell you 100% for sure.

These are the specs for the switch and the power adapter, they both say i should be getting 803.2at. I have it set up the same way it says to have the 802.3at power being sent. Both A and B are plugged into the switch. I'm getting a signal just very slow, it evens gets down to 50Mbps.

We are using WEP, and the power light is Amber while the other one is Green. In the instructions it says that the power being solid amber means the AP is in power saving mode because it's only recieving 802.3af instead of 802.3at. I'm positive i have the set up to give out 802.3at PoE to the AP.

WEP isnt supported in 802.11n , your top RF moduliztion is 54Mbps.... max 25+-Mbps top speed.change to WPA2 and you will notice better speeds. (and use 5Ghz and enjoy the 325 magic)

Only Open and AES are supported for 802.11n.

We're in the radio settings and only get the choices of 802.11 d or h.

    ?!

You are not in the right place.

go to: (edit your ssid) and change security type from WEP to WPA2 Personal

Did you ever figure this out?  I have a deployment I am doing with a 5400 HPE switch.  I have an ap-335 plugged in and during the boot process it show af power not AT. I have lldp running on the switch.  The power output show the port negioated power with LLDP.

I figured out is was the switch we were using, i called Wifi-Texas and they sent us a new switch that actually cost a little more but gave it us for free. Even though the old switch said it would work it did not, we plugged the new one in and green lights across the board on both of them.
