    Hello Fello Airheads!

I have a RAP-108 that doesnt seem to want to be an IAP. I believe that this has the ability to be an IAP but it wont load. Ive tried many different versions of iap software and all have the following output.

    apboot>
    apboot> upgrade os 192.168.10.79:ArubaInstant_Pegasus_6.4.2.0-4.1.1.0_46028
    eth0 up: 100 Mb/s full duplex
    DHCP broadcast 1
    DHCP IP address: 192.168.10.100
    DHCP subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    DHCP def gateway: 192.168.10.1
    DHCP DNS server: 192.168.10.1
    DHCP DNS domain:

    Filename 'ArubaInstant_Pegasus_6.4.2.0-4.1.1.0_46028'.

    **** ERROR: upgrade failed ****.
    apboot>

the device is definitely a RAP-108 also:

    APBoot 1.2.7.14 (build 34663)

    DRAM: 128 MB

    Flash: 32 MB
    Power: 802.3at POE
    PCI: scanning bus 0 ...

    Net: eth0
    Radio: ar9590#0, ar9344#1

I can however get the device to boot as a CAP/RAP with the mips32.ari image.

Ive tried factory resetting it and all of that but it just never turns into an instant.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Try the "os_info" command in AP-boot to see if there is an IAP-image available.

You can switch to another partition by altering the "os_partition"-variable:

    setenv os_partition 1 (or 0)

    saveenv

    boot

Are you sure the firmware image is valid? Maybe try re-downloading the firmware image from the support-website.

Can you provide the output of mfginfo from APBOOT?

I think i figured it out!

For some reason this device seems to be working just fine with the ORION software for a  IAP-92, IAP-93, IAP-105, IAP-175, RAP-3WN and RAP-3WN. This device is definitely a rap 100 series but when i loaded the orion code it booted perfectly and seems to be working just fine. I upgraded it through the web GUI also. Everything seems to be working as expected!!!

    Thanks everyone!
