We are using Aruba IAPs

Aruba is using tinyproxy behind the scenes to parse external captive login page and look for success text.

 

From my experiments, it seems that tinyproxy connection timeout is set to 5 seconds by default which may not be enough in some cases (it's not enough in my case). After 5 seconds, the connection is abruptly closed and CNA doesn't understand what just happened.

 

I'm trying to find a way to increase the timeout, so far no luck.

I have an external splash page and authentication method is set to 'authentication text'. My external page on some occassions takes more than 5 seconds to spit out the final confirmation text due to external API calls, and Aruba (or tinyproxy) in such cases simply drops the connection after 5 seconds. 

To be clear, are you saying that your page is taking more than 5 second s from "submit" to finish and you want to extend the timeout?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.

 

Just to be clear, we are not using RADIUS authentication, we rely on 'successful text' method.
