Total Number of users on a paricular controller:

    • .iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.aruba.arubaEnterpriseMibModules.switch.wlsxEnterpriseMibModules.wlsxUserMIB.wlsxUserAllInfoGroup.wlsxTotalNumOfUsers
    • .1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.2.1.4.1.1

You can view the OIDs using a MIB Browser.   The user related information is in the aruba.my file within the attached Aruba MIBs archive.

We've been polling our controllers using that SNMP string, but have noticed that the SNMP poll reports a much higher number of clients that what is seen in the gui of the controller.  Anyone else seeing this?  Any reason or explaination as to why?

    BriFi,

Have you already opened a case?  What version of ArubaOS and what MIB are you polling?

Hi, we notice this number is way higher than the number of clients reported in the UI. Even after the latest firmware update to 6.4.2.12 on a 7030 controller.

Is this a confirmed bug? What number should be trusted?

    Did this issue conclude?

wlsxTotalNumOfUsers - does it show the number of entries in the user-table or from the station table?

wlsxTotalNumOfUsers is the user table, possible for there to be multiple entries per mac address (e.g. per station)

wlanAPNumClients and wlsxWlanStationTable are station related entries, one per mac address
