    Hello's

I have a customer that is providing guest access via the Instant Captive portal. The customer would like to restrict access to the guest SSID during night time. Is it possible to restrict access based on time?

    thanks for your time,

    Blue

I don't believe this is possible with IAP on its own.

You can do it if you've got a controller, or Clearpass!

I don't have an IAP to test with but can't you set a time of day on a policy with an IAP? Make the policy deny all (put it at the top of the initial policy) the time range would be nighttime. Deny all would only happen when <nighttime> range is in effect which will not allow users to connect during the hours specified.

I thought of this route as well and to the best of my knowledge and attempts does not provide the option to set time restrictions.

I checked on my lab IAP 105 (running v4) before the first response just to be sure. Went in and looked at roles and the raw SSID settings. There's no options for timed access. Only destinations, services, and allow/block etc (no times). Pretty confident this isn't possible on IAPs.
