USB 3G/4G compatibility with IAP-114

    Hello,

     

    I have following question: Is huawei E3372 comatible with IAP-114. I would like to configure this 3g/4g modem as uplink connection.

     

    Additionally I would like to know where can I find the file which 3g/4g modems are comatible with aruba ap.

    Hi!

     

    Thank you very much for this information. Unfortunatelly I cannot find my 3/4G modem. It means that the IAP does not detect this device?

     

    Additionally, Could you confirm thaht IAP-114 is able to work with 3g/4g uplink connection.

     It may work, but there is no supported configuration. You should swap the dongle for one of the ones on the supported list.

     

    Yes, Instant AP's with USB ports support USB modem uplink.

    Hi

    as said by cappali all usb AP supports 3g/4g modem.

    now you have 3 choise

    1. bay a USB modem listed in the compatibility table
    2. use 3G/4G modem with ethernet ports
    3. open a TAC case and wait until they add your USB modem to the comatibility list (it may takes months)

    Another option is to use a cradlepoint.

    Thanks for all informations. I have already tried to connect Huawei E173 dongle to RAP-155P. But unfortunately the dongle does not work. Below you will find my configuration:

     

    cellular-uplink-profile

    usb-type option usb-dev 0x12d11c05

    usb-tty ttyUSB0 usb-init AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet"

    usb-user internet

    usb-passwd internet

    usb-dial ATD*133#

    usb-modeswitch "-v 0x12d1 -p 0x1c0b -M 55534243123456780000000000000011062000000100000000000000000000 -RIn"

     

    I live in Poland and I use Orange Poland which is a Polish telecommunications provider. 

    So this is the reason why I configured following settings:

    usb-user internet

    usb-passwd internet

    usb-dial ATD*133#

     

    RAP-155P has the 6.4.2.3-4.1.2.1_49445 firmware version.
