User name and device OS change on IAPs

    Hi community,

Doing troubleshooting today on my 11-IAPs cluster. In the WebUI, I realized sometimes my user name and device OS changed when I roamed to a new AP. These are the two weird things:

    1. I have a Windows 10 machine, and sometimes I viewed my device as Windows, sometimes as Windows XP and sometimes as Windows.

    2. Also, my name sometimes appeared as "domain\user", and sometimes just as "user" (without domain).

The authentication is via ClearPass which is joined to the customer's AD. Running firmware 6.5.4.13. Attached some examples:

    client1.pngclient2.pngokc.PNG

It's strange, isn't it? Any idea?

    Regards,

    Julián

Might be worth doing a trace on Clearpass for the client on each AP to see if there's a difference in the auth request sent, and diff the AP config...something is different.
