What is Japan country code?

    On a ROW IAP225 I tried running the command

     

    show ap allowed-channels JP

Error: "JP" is not a valid country code.

     

    Tried all sorts of variants like JA and JN, but get the same error.  The same thing when I try on a controller as well.

     

    Found the answer on Wikipedia anyways, but have some visiting VIPs from Japan so just want a quick check on the channel choices.

    On the controllers it is JP3.

     

    (aruba-7210) #show ap allowed-channels country-code JP3

    Hi All,

     

    regarding this topic, I'm wondering something:

    If I want to sell Instant APs for an WW enterprise that has several locations around the world, Can I sell AP with "Rest-of-the-World" SKU and configure specific country code on Virtual Controller.

     

    Ex: Here, sell AP-515RW and configure JP3 country code on the VC that'll be install in Japan

    Or Must I sell AP-515RW for all countries except for some specific countries like Japan where I have to sell AP-515JP?

    AP-515-RW should not be used in the US (US), Japan (JP), Israel (IL) or Egypt (EG). You'll risk violating regulatory rules.
