Has anyone got ceiling mounting brackets with their IAP in India ?. We had to purchase "AP-220-MNT-W1W" mounting kits as the authorised partners said mounting kits are not included in the box, even though the datasheet clearly mention the brackets are included.

We bought half a dozen IAP-215-RW in Jan 2016. We think Aruba being greedy for not supplying mounting brackets whilst other manufacturers include everything to get started.

Greed has nothing to do with this  ;-)

A couple of comments:

- Every indoor AP we ship comes with basic mount accessories

- For campus APs like the IAP-215, we include two simple adapters/clips to attach the AP to common ceiling grid rails (flat, 9/15" and 15/16" wide). This is the most common mount scenario. If those were not in the box with your APs, something went wrong

- We offer a variety of mount solutions, since mount demands vary. For the IAP-215, we have 5 compatible kits.

- It's not practical to ship each of these with every AP

- If your mount requirements are such that you need the W1W kit (basic bracket for flat surface, color white), than the clips that ship with the AP are unfortunately of no use to you

I agree that its not practical to include every mounting kit.

The fact is, We did not get those basic mounting kits with IAP and none of the other customers we spoke to have got those basic kits.

The following is the present situation,
It seems Aruba India/their distributors are not including those in the box, forcing customers to spend additional $$ for mounting kits !!!
--The only mounting kit that is available with the distributors seems to be W1W kit.
--How are we supposed to mount the AP to grid ceiling rails with W1W kit ?.

As Platinum Partners we have informed these to HPE and they don't seem to be bothered about Aruba.

The mount clips for flat ceiling grid rails are added in the box with te AP in our factories. It is highly unlikely that these would not be added or get removed somehow.

When dealing with similar reports in the past, we've consistently found that the clips were actually there but got thown out with the AP box when unpacking. The clips are small and not always easy to spot in the packaging, depending on specific AP model.

If you have any new boxed units, please verify. The clips are typically underneath the AP or under the cardboard or foam packaging material. What specific AP models are you working with?

Distributors should be able to offer you any of the compatibel mount kits for our APs.

Just FYI, I'm attaching the config guide for the 320 series APs, which shows are compatible accessories.
