AppRF stop working while I'm deleting DNS server access.

Why would I need to specify DNS servers to enable AppRF on IAP? Doesn't DPI implies that it should analyze and parse traffic locally?

Some of the heuristics are based on the domain name. The VC needs to be able to look up addresses.

What is the reason for removing the DNS server?

    Tim,

Do You mean the VC must have DNS connectivity in order to recognize applications?

Is there any way to get AppRF feature works without DNS service?

Could you please explain why the DNS is so important in Aruba dpi implementation?

Yes, that's correct. Parts of the application classification are done by IP destination.

Facebook can be classified by traffic destined for Facebook domains for example.

What is the concern with having DNS servers defined?

Sometimes it's not possible. For instance I run into this issue when the Internet access was provided through guest portal.
