Hi,

Can we able to create a GRE tunnel between IAP-105 and the server (Linux/windows)?

If yes then is there any configuration guidelines for this ?

Thank you very much for your update. From your post i understand that we wil be able to configure the GRE tunnel between IAP-105 to the any device (GRE capable device) only in 6.2.1.0-3.3 version. Am i right?

In the 6.2.0.0-3.2 user guide i can see we have the option to select the GRE tunnel from the protocol list same as 6.2.1.0-3.3 version user guide. but the only difference is HOST field is not mentioned in the 6.2.0.0-3.2 userguide under GRE tunnel whereas in 6.2.1.0-3.3 version we have the option to enter the host field under the GRE tunnel protocol.

Could you please confirm it is because of host field not present under GRE tunnel protocol list which is why we will not be able to create the GRE tunnel in 6.2.0.0-3.2 version? if yes then why we have an option to select protocol type as GRE in 6.2.0.0-3.2 version?Since host feild is present in 6.2.1.0-3.3 version which is why we are able to create the GRE tunnel.?

Thank you for the update. The above snapshot which you taken it in the lab IAP is same in my IAP running 6.2.0.0-3.2 version. I am still wondering why it is available in 6.2.1.0-3.3 version and not in the 6.2.0.0.-3.2 version.

 

What happenes if i give any GRE capable devices (server/router) IP address in the host field in 6.2.0.0-3.2 version IAP? GRE tunnel will not get formed? Is there any changes done on the code on 6.2.1.0-3.3 version to form GRE tunnel to any third party devices?

 

I am sorry, but i am trying to understand the difference between the version w.r.t GRE tunnel even though both of them are having the same Feild in the GUI.

I am sorry that descripiton was not clear.

 

My query was why GRE tunnel will work only from 6.2.1.0-3.3 version and not in 6.2.0.0-3.2 version? But i am able to see GRE tunnel option in both the version. What is the difference between the GRE tunnel mentioned in both the version.

I apologize about the confusion but the option is available on the 

Version:

6.2.0.0-3.2.0.0_36559

I have downgraded mine and it is there , that's why I asked you trying another browser and see if the host option shows up.

 

I am currently using chrome and I see it there .
