Aruba v8 controller clustering

Question about clustering and providing some redundancy in a v8 environment. In v6 we had a master and several local controllers spread around the country. We could use the local as the primary LMS controller and the master as a backup LMS if needed. Is this kind of setup not an option in v8? We have been told that you cannot have a local mobility controller be part of a v8 cluster in a diffderent physical location?? Seems rather limiting.

Re: Aruba v8 controller clustering

The idea is that you can have a local cluster of controllers for redundancy and capacity.  You can also specify a backup lms-ip  in the ap-group that can be leveraged if the original cluster of controllers fails.

Very few people provide multi-site redundancy, because (1) Multiple Aruba Controllers do not fail often and (2) You probably have a bigger issue if your network at an existing site fails.  The quick answer is that you do have that option, though.
