Converged Port

Hi expert

I would like to know what is the meaning of converged port in "HPE 5930 24-port Converged Port and 2-port QSFP+ Module"?

What is the badwidth of this converged port?

Re: Converged Port

The first 24 ports are 1/10G.Depending on the transceiver you use, port will operate on that speed. The last 2 ports are 40G.

Following link should help you with the supported transceivers:

Re: Converged Port

The CP module supports both Ethernet and Fibre Channel on the same physical 10G port. Each of the 10G ports can be configured individually for FC or Ethernet.

- Ethernet speeds support 1/10G

- When in Fibre Channel mode they support 4/8G FC.

The 40G ports are standard Ethernet only (no FC).
