AP-Database.JPG

Thanks for replying again.
I believe that the "Flag" "f = No Spectrum FFT support" is only a warning and does not affect its operation ... since if the system and radios indicator LED is already online (green), both in green; I have the doubt if it is necessary to request in all the ports of the Cisco Switch that output of 30 W since in 3 Switches the test was done and in those already they appear:

(Aruba7030) [mynode] #
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #show ap debug system-status ap-name - | include ower
Channel Power Request Information
Channel Power Request Response Counters
 1473 root SW 0 2 0.1 0.0 power_monitor
Power status
Power Supply: POE-AF
LLDP Power: 0.0W
Eth0 HW POE status: POE AF, LLDP power: 0.0W
Power Monitoring Information
Note: Avg, Min and Max power are calculated using values sampled over the previous 60 seconds
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #show ap debug system-status ap-name - | include ower
Channel Power Request Information
Channel Power Request Response Counters
 1474 root SW 0 2 0.0 0.0 power_monitor
Power status
Power Supply: POE-AT
LLDP Power: Successfully negotiated at 25.5W
Eth0 HW POE status: POE AF, LLDP power: 25.5W
Power Monitoring Information
Note: Avg, Min and Max power are calculated using values sampled over the previous 60 seconds
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #

This happened after I requested that they configure 30 W on the ports of the APs, but they still give me the following output:
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #show ap debug system-status ap-name - | include ower
Channel Power Request Information
Channel Power Request Response Counters
 1473 root SW 0 2 0.1 0.0 power_monitor
Power status
Power Supply: POE-AF
LLDP Power: 0.0W
Eth0 HW POE status: POE AF, LLDP power: 0.0W
Power Monitoring Information

AP-Database-Flag-f_.JPG

But the access point does work correctly only with the "Flag" "f = No Spectrum FFT support" which I think is a warning nothing more.
They practically started operating once I enabled the IPM:
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #show ap system-profile default | include IPM
IPM activation Enabled
IPM power reduction steps with Priorities N / A
IPM Steps delete all No
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #

It seems that with having the IPM they already work in port with 802.af as indicated in the table in the documentation.

Thank you.

Re: Access points 515 con Flags "rIf" - Aruba OS 8.6

I also have a similar setup and controller is running at OS version 8.6.0.2. In my setup AP-515 is coming up without any issue.

Please post the output of the following command to understand issue better:

show ap debug system-status ap-name <name of the AP> | include ower

Please find a similar output from my setup:

(Airo-MC1) [mynode] #show ap debug system-status ap-name BB_bc:9f:e4| include ower
Channel Power Request Information
Channel Power Request Response Counters
1475 root SW 0 2 0.1 0.0 power_monitor
Power Status
Power Supply : POE-AT
LLDP Power : Successfully negotiated at 25.5W
Eth0 HW POE status : POE AF, LLDP power: 25.5W

Re: Access points 515 con Flags "rIf" - Aruba OS 8.6

First thanks for answering friend.
I have just executed the command and it gives me the following output:

(Aruba7030) [mynode] #show ap debug system-status ap-name bc: 9f: e4: c3: 0f: 68 | include power
  1473 root SW 0 2 0.0 0.0 power_monitor
Current Operational State: 1 ETH port disabled; USB power disabled; All radios disabled
Eth0 HW POE status: POE AF, LLDP power: 0.0W
Note: Avg, Min and Max power are calculated using values sampled over the previous 60 seconds
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #

I think I should enable LLDP or IPM ... and confirm.

Thank you.

Re: Access points 515 con Flags "rIf" - Aruba OS 8.6

Thanks David!

As per the output you shared, I can see AP is operating with 802.3af.

Ankyt_0-1582565814755.png

As mentioned in the datasheet operating AP with 802.3af and IPM disabled is not supported. Please do the needful, I think this will fix your issue. Otherwise, for operability without restrictions, we need 802.3at power.

Re: Access points 515 con Flags "rIf" - Aruba OS 8.6

Thanks for answering Ankyt.

In fact I have already updated and executed the following commands:

(Aruba7030) [mynode] (config) #ap system-profile default
(Aruba7030) [mynode] (AP system profile "default") # ipm-enable

And now only the "Flag" appears f = No Spectrum FFT support;

AP-Database-Flag-f.JPG

I did not configure the switches, I can only ask for support to output 802.at (30 W) to the ports where the APs are connected; Is there anything else that could be or did something similar happen to you with the "Flag" f = No Spectrum FFT support?

Thank you.

Re: Access points 515 con Flags "rIf" - Aruba OS 8.6

Spectrum analysis is not currently supported on AP-50x and AP-51x.

I believe that's the reason it is getting updated with "f" flag.

Re: Access points 515 con Flags "rIf" - Aruba OS 8.6

I requested that in the Cisco Switch ports where there are access points enable them with more PoE resulting in:

(Aruba7030) [mynode] #show ap debug system-status ap-name - | include ower
Channel Power Request Information
Channel Power Request Response Counters
  1475 root SW 0 2 0.1 0.0 power_monitor
Power status
Power Supply: POE-AT
LLDP Power: Successfully negotiated at 25.5W
Eth0 HW POE status: POE AF, LLDP power: 25.5W
Power Monitoring Information
Note: Avg, Min and Max power are calculated using values sampled over the previous 60 seconds
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #
(Aruba7030) [mynode] #

This way I already get the output of PoE + (802.at) but it still shows me the alert "f = No Spectrum FFT support" how did you disable it?

I've been looking for how to disable it, do you know where it is disabled?

Thank you.

Yes, you are correct "Flag" "f = No Spectrum FFT support" is only a warning and does not affect any operation.
