Problem:

Airwave upgrade to 8.2.1.1 from 8.0.8 failed with libX11 rpm dependency

If we look at the upgrade log we can see the upgrade have failed with the below error message,



 

To fix this issue we have install the missing RPM manually.

If the server have internet access we can execute the below command to update it,

#yum update libX11*

#root
#make

In case if you dont have internet access, we can download the rpm from below link,

https://centos.pkgs.org/6/centos-x86_64/libXext-1.3.3-1.el6.x86_64.rpm.html and the filename will be libXext-1.3.3-1.el6.x86_64.rpm

Once downloaded we can copy it to "/tmp" directory of Airwave server using winscp and execute the below command to update it.

# cd /tmp

# chmod 777 libXext-1.3.3-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
#rpm -Uvh libXext-1.3.3-1.el6.x86_64.rpm --nodeps --force
# root
# make
