Glass Server Web Interface Is Not Accessible

Problem:

Glass Web interface down and not accessible



Diagnostics:

We are able to SSH to Glass Server. 

When we check the status of pods using the below command, we received the below message

admin@aw-glass~ $ kubectl get pods --all-namespaces

The connection to the server 127.0.0.1:8080 was refused - did you specify the right host or port

 

We can run the below command to verify the status of kubelet service, per the below output, kubelet service is running

admin@aw-glass~ $ sudo systemctl status kubelet
? kubelet.service
   Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/kubelet.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
   Active: active (running) since Wed 2019-06-12 16:11:13 UTC; 1 months 2 days ago
 Main PID: 3366 (kubelet)
    Tasks: 21124
   Memory: 762.9M
      CPU: 6d 11h 55min 36.708s

 

Checked the status of docker process status using the below command.

aadmin@aw-glass~ $ docker ps

This command did not list any container ID or images and the command was stuck and returning no output.

 



Solution

Restarted docker using the below command.

admin@aw-glass~ $ sudo systemctl restart docker

After restarting docker we are able to see the container ID and images got listed for "docker ps" command.

Also, we are able to access the web interface of Glass Server.
