How to do Controller Firmware upgrade using Airwave.

Using Airwave to upgrade the Firmware for the controllers in the networks.

Note : The Update Firmware button only appears if 1) the AMP Administrator has enabled Allow firmware upgrades in monitor.

 

Environment : Airwave: 7.7, Controller : 3200.

  • First we need to download the preferred Firmware from support.arubanetworks.com
  •  Upload the Firmware to Airwave under Device Setup à Upload Firmware and files.

 Go for Add new firmware option and browse the preferred firmware from the location.

Once, after uploading the firmware here. We can go to the preferred group where we have the Master controller and local.

 

Guide to the Firmware Tab under the Group.

Select the firmware from the drop down for the preferred model of the controller.

Click on upgrade option and it will take us to the below page where we can schedule the upgrade process or start it right away.
