PDB generation failed in ALE

Problem:

PDB generation failed with code:1 in ALE running in estimation mode.

ALE version: 2.0.0.13

Controller AOS version: 6.4.3.2



Diagnostics:

All deployed APs been provisioned in Airwave VisualRF

Airwave/controller details provided in ALE are correct

Checked ale-jwebapp.log and noticed generation is failing with below error

2018-01-02 14:19:20.777 BRST [http-nio-8080-exec-5] ERROR com.aruba.ale.common.WrapperProc - Process timeout after 600000 msecs

2018-01-02 14:19:20.912 BRST [StreamDump-ERRSTRM] WARN  com.aruba.ale.common.RTStrmDump - Exception message:Stream closed

2018-01-02 14:19:20.950 BRST [StreamDump-OUTSTRM] WARN  com.aruba.ale.common.RTStrmDump - Exception message:Stream closed

2018-01-02 14:19:20.951 BRST [http-nio-8080-exec-5] ERROR c.a.ale.noscan.NoScanPDBGenerator - PDB generation failed with code: 1



Solution

PDB generation is failing due to RTLS exception messages

Noticed RTLS is enabled in ALE server. Disabled RTLS option and regenerated the PDB file.

Note: ALE RTLS is currently not supported in AOS 6.5.4.2 and below code. Support is been added from 6.5.4.3 code.
