VisualRF Won't Start Due to Missing Files from /tmp/site_migration

Jun 23, 2014 08:03 PM

In AMP 5.3.x, if a customer did not use VisualRF within two weeks of installing the software, the site_list.xml and the campus_building_list.xml file in /tmp/site_migration would be deleted by the operating system CRON job that cleans up the /.tmp directory. Essentially, this would kill VisualRF on these systems since the application needs those files to function. Simply placing the attached file in /tmp/site/migration (create the directory if necessary) should resolve the problem and let VisualRF runn.

Note: This issue was fixed in AMP 6.0.1.
