Nov 17, 2017 02:14 PM

Q:

What all ports/traffic needs to be allowed for successful Airwave and Glass Communication ?

A:

Following ports needs to be enabled for successful communication between Airwave and Glass server,

443 =>  It is needed for secure web socket communication between the feeder service running on managed amp and glass.

22 =>  It is needed for support connection (nexus2.airwave.com) for debugging amp related issues.

ICMP traffic => Feeder service always try to check connectivity between managed amp and glass by running ICMP ping. This is needed for building up secure java key store.

443 to reach coreupdate.central.arubanetworks.com to get updates for Glass and AMP feeder.

Allow Glass to pull images from port 443 for the following hosts: quay.io and  gcr.io.  coreupdate.central.arubanetworks.com only holds yaml files with metadata, and is only good for update notifications and meta info. It doesn't hold any images data
