Why does moving AP from controller 1 to controller 2 changes the graphs data in the controller 1?

Sep 19, 2014 08:10 AM

Question : Why does moving AP from controller 1 to controller 2 changes the graphs data in the controller 1?

Environment : This occurs when we move AP from controller 1 to controller 2 and Controller 1 shows blank graph for Client and usage.

Answer : In Airwave, we keep only AP RRD’s, as the client data is associated to AP’s and we do not have controller RRD. This is designed to avoid double counting of the client data from AP rrd’s and controller rrd’s.  Hence the controllers look at the APs that are connected currently and build the graphs on the controller monitoring page. This problem does not exist for folders/groups since they have their own RRD.
