AirWave not using SNMPv3 to connect to controllers

We have a requirement to completely remove all traces of SNMP v1 and v2c from all our network devices. I've done that in a controller, and now AMP reports the device as down (SNMP get failed). On the controller's page within AMP, it reports that the device is currently using SNMPv2c.

I've removed the community entries on the controller's page in AMP. I've added valid SNMPv3 credentials, but it won't work. I've even entered valid SSH and enable credentials, but AMP refuses to show the controller as anything but down.

Is there a requirement to use SNMPv1/v2c for AMP <> controller communication?

Check the group basic page to make sure group is using SNMPv3.

Go to Group list -> select group -> Basic tab -> Aruba settings box

Set to SNMPv3 -> then save and apply.
