Airwave: Controller read/write management cannot be configured

    Hello everyone, can someone help me?

    I have an Airwave instance and a virtual controller (standalone).

     

    Unfortunately, I can't adjust the management level so that it can be managed.

     

    The message is: "The following devices do no support management mode"

     

    Snmp is configured in version 1 / 2 and 3, monitors work too.

    The user is also stored on the controller, also the sending of CLI commands via Airwave works. What am I doing wrong ?

     

    Under Device -> Manage the read/write point is also grayed out.

    What version of AirWave, firmware version / model of controller?

    Also, please double check the Aruba Best Practice guide / Supported Device guide

    How did we add the device on Airwave? When you say virtual controller i assume you are reffering to IAP? If so IAP talks to Airwave over https and not snmp.
    In both ways as Rob mentioned please share the Airwave and controller version.

    Hello Guys,

     

    thank you so far.

     

    Airwave is version 8.2.7.1

    The Controller is a mobility controller as VM , version 8.4.0.

     

    I tried the discovery way, and manually add the devices.

    Both ways work, like I said, I am able to monitor.

     

    But I am not able to change it to manage read/write.

    AirWave supports only monitoring and software upgrades on Aruba devices running ArubaOS 8.0.0.0 or later. Below is a snapshot from the support guide.

    Right. Airwave supports only monitoring for 8.0.x and above version of the controller and not manage. That is why we see the manage option greyed out.

    Okay.

    I will now try to add the controller, and activate monitoring from start...
