    Community,

I have attached a brand new 105 AP to the network and get the following:

    APBoot 1.2.4.4 (build 26618)
    Built: 2011-01-07 at 13:42:04

    DHCP subnet mask: 255.255.255.224
    DHCP def gateway: 10.129.129.1
    DHCP DNS server: 0.0.0.0
    DHCP DNS domain:
    Controller address: 10.129.129.166
    Using eth0 device
TFTP from server 10.129.129.166; our IP address is 10.129.129.8; sending through gateway 10.129.129.1
    Filename 'mips32.ari'.
    Load address: 0x2000000
    Loading: ICMP Host Redirect to
*** Reboot caused by watchdog timeout. ***

The AP is stuck in a reboot loop. It obviously sees the controller and get an IP but it never binds to the controller. Controller is a 3200XM running 6.4.4.11 code. Any ideas? I read a few similar articles on here, one of which said to RMA the AP.

    Thanks.

Statically configure the ip, subnet mask, default gateway and "masterip", and see if it still happens.

Long story short, APBoot 1.2.4.4 cannot handle ICMP redirects without crashing.  Later revisions of the AP-105 hardware APboot have this patched.  The only workaround is to avoid ICMP redirects, by statically configuring the parameters.
