Capacity info for MM-VA-50

    Hi,

     

    The capacity of MM-VA-50 is as follows in the datasheet.

     

    Number of Device 50

    Number of Clients 500

    Number of Controllers 5

     

    My concern is that, is a network having 2 controllers and 50 access points. Will  MM-VA-50 fulfill the requirments.

    otherwise If new have a cap at 50 devices then can we have 48 APs and 2 controllers.

    or are we restricted to 45 APs and 5 controllers quota.

    Anticipating positive and quick responces.

    Hi

     

    The MM-VA-50 will support up to 50 devices including APs and controllers, so you can have up to 5 controllers and 45 APs or more APs but less controllers

     

    If you need 2 controller and 50 AP you need to buy 2x MM-VA-50. Of course, licenses can be combined on one VM Mobility Master.

    Hi,

     

    As per my knowledge we need single MM-VA-50 for spinning up 2nd MM for HA.  As this is the Central unit so we cannot have two separate MM running independently. So in my scenario of 2 controllers and 50 APs. where there be any repercussions for other remaining 5 APs.

    Or do I have to go with MM-VA-500 to accomodate for remaining 5 APs.

    Mm-va-50 licence is count As MC+AP

    So for 50 AP and 2 controllers you need 52 licences.

    You can buy 2x MM-VA-50 and install this two license on one Mobility Master and you will have 100 devices, but you have to give the VM machine such resources as if it were MM-VA-500. VM resource change "hardware" limit.
