Dose Airwave Suppourt CISCO VSS/VPC.

  • 1.  Dose Airwave Suppourt CISCO VSS/VPC.

    please I need to know if the below devices supported by the airwave server, I tried to add C9500X using SNMPv2 but airwave discover only one Device.

     

    2* cisco C9500-40X (Version 16.09.02) connected together using VSS.

    2* cisco C3172T (nxos.7.0.3.I7.7.bin) connected together using VPC.

    In latest 8.2.11.0 code we have support till 9400CX, does both switches are in stack, are you adding commander?

    both switches in stack currently, yes the commander.

    Check logs in system > status page for more details, if you are not seeing any entry in this log and device in new device list then you may need to file feature. currently we have support till 9400 in latest 8.2.11.0 code.

     

    DiscoveryOK/var/log/discovery
    Discovery Event Existing-AP CacherOK/var/log/discovery_event_cacher

    TAC Answer: Cisco 9500 model is not yet fully supported. As it is not yet validated you can add these devices as Universal devices while adding them to Airwave instead of cisco devices.
    Adding devices as Universal devices should show them up on Airwave but with limited features.

    I haven't tested that i do have standard switches running pos with vpc on the 5ks side directly connected by 10gb works fine so i know the vpc to standard po will work fine for you McDVOICE

    I know about conf sync, and sometimes I wish I didn't. To be fair, it is a whole lot better than it used to be. Early versions were buggy, and sometimes would get into a state where the two boxes were synchronised but they thought they were inconsistent.
