    Hi,

As per the below post, the HP 5130 with version 7.0 onwards will add into Aruba AirWave NMS but not able to add and showing SNMP get failed error in AirWave.

I am trying to add with SNMPV3, I have tried HPE office connect and Universal device but no luck.

Can anyone provide the solution please....

    Switch Model: 5130-24G-4SFP+ EI JG932A

    VENDOR_NAME          : HPE

    Version 7.1 running

    Thanks and regards,

    Ashok

When adding a device for SNMPv3, you need to update the Group -> select group -> Basic tab to use SNMPv3 for that device series type.  Otherwise it will try to use the default SNMPv2.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

Have got a solutioin for my issue.

Added the HP switch as a Universal device in AirWave, changed the SNMPV3 in the group and the below is the configuraion from swith end.

    snmp-agent
    snmp-agent sys-info version v3
    snmp-agent group v3 XXXX authentication write-view XXXX
    snmp-agent usm-user v3 XXXX XXXX simple authentication-mode sha <password> privacy-mode aes128 <password>

    Thanks and regards,
