How to configure SMTP on airwave so I can recive emails on erros and so on,

 

I have read alot but didn't get where I add the email and password of email?

on the AMP Setup page, you can configure the Email server there.

 

You can also configure a relay server.

to configure Airwave as a an SNMP Client  you go to

AMP Setup > NMS  then you add a new SNMP server.

Dears I have Tried to add the line but gives this

 

[root@localhost postfix]# main.cf: relayhost = [mail.airwave.com]
-bash: main.cf:: command not found
[root@localhost postfix]#

You can configure the relay host via the webUI.

In order to do it via the CLI, you need to edit main.cf with an editor like 'vi'

Thanks but how to do it with VI as it is my first time with Airwave and I need to know more about it

Airwave uses postfix

As for Airwave, goto AMP setup -> General

You will see the following, choose yes to enable the mail server, then go create triggers

If you want to use a relay, you can set an IP address and test as well.

If you need to use something like a Gmail smtp server which requires authentication, then refer to the postfix help forums on how to configure that.

have done this but it didn't work : for example :

 

My configs: Use embaded system :yes

to 123@gmail.com

from 123@gmail.com

send

 

it said msg sent successfully

 

but now msg apears at all

Does your Airwave have internet access?

Yes have internet access and DNS configured and all related issue

I suggest opening a TAC case then.

Have you looked through the mail logs on the server?
tail -f /var/log/maillog

To see if it gives you an idea why it doesn't send out.
