Some commands I found a HUGE help. All commands are issued via the ALE CLI.
tail -f /opt/ale/var/log/ls.py/current - this shows you the real time log of ALE trying to connect to AirWave.
netstat -an | grep 8088 - which IAPs are pointed to ALE and communication.
cat /etc/locationserver.conf - to make sure floors are choosen and also shows the username/password
cd /opt/ale/home/ - This shows the directory where the floor 'cookies' are stores. Deleting these will cause ALE to do a complete rediscover. Do this at your own risk.
Be sure you also choose the floor plans you want to see in ALE, under the Select Site. After you choose the floor plans, it again restarts the services.
I use very complex passwords, no issues. Running ALE 1.3.3 and AirWave 8.0.8.1. If you arent on 1.3.3, I would suggest you upgrade to it. I had horrible issues with previous versions. I havent installed 2.0 yet. Also be sure VisualRF is running and healthy on your Airwave server. I have found if VisualRF isnt running, ALE will not check in properly. ALE requires feeds from both the IAPs and Airwave, make sure nothing is blocking the feeds.
