    Hi everyone,

While browsing the Instant Config menus I found a field called Transmit Rates, which can be set to a maximum of 54 mbps for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. I would like to know why the transmit rate is limited to 54 mbps within the network, this is the maximum speed of ancient wifi protocols like 802.11a. If I'm connected using 802.11ac will I still be limited to a transmit rate of 54mbps?

Am I making sense or just missing something really dumb? Can someone help to clarify it for me?Untitled picture11.pngUntitled picture.png

Now I'm even more confused lol

So, just to see if I'm understanding it correctly, the transmit rate is where we set the minimum/maximum each antennae can transmit, is that correct?

Rates 1-54 are only "basic" rates.  Those are mainly rates for management frames, not necessarily data.
