Inactive AP denying clients

  • 1.  Inactive AP denying clients

    Hi All

     

    We've had issues where some AP325's have gone into a weird state where they are accept associations but the client can't auth.

     

    Are there any triggers we can set on airwave for this?  I've looked but airwave triggers seems all albout looking for overusage rather than underusage...

     

    any ideas?

    Are these controller-based APS or Instant?

    What version of code is this?

    Are you using encryption for these clients?  What type?

    Controller-based:

     

    Name: Aruba Operating System Software.
    Model: Aruba7240
    Version: 6.4.4.8

     

    AP Model: 325

     

    The clients, once connected are 802.1x EAP/MSCHAPv2, but reports from the users (and I observed on my devices) clients could not even connect.

    Nothing comes to mind about an AP denying clients in that version of code and with that specific AP.  You should open a TAC case so that they can obtain your logs and get to the bottom of this.
