Hello, our company utilized a consultant to set up the Aruba cluster and airwave over a year ago. I am new at the company and have been tasked with learning airwave and instant.

I would like to set up Airwave on a vm to play around with and learn. In other posts I have seen that I will need a trial license key.

How do I obtain that. I sent a message to Aruba sales and it says they will contact me back shortly. That was over 5 hours ago

An Aruba Partner or indeed your local sales team can generate an evaluation license for Airwave. If you have access to download software from the Aruba portal, you can get Airware there as well directly as recent versions (I think starting with 8.2) include an evaluation license when you install it.

If you still cannot get in contact with the local sales team, please send me a personal message with your contact details and the location (city/country) you are in; then I can see what I can do for you to get the contact established.

Thank You Herman. As a new employee at a company and a noob to Airwave and instant; What do you think would be the best way to go about learning Airwave.

Currently I am reading the Airwave user guide and watching the airheads instant video tutorials. I can't find any third party training books on amazon etc......

Do you know of any good Airwave/Instant training materials or resources?

You are correct in the observation that at the time there are no self-study books available outside the training offerings.

For Aruba Instant, there are is (probably the series you found) official online training available free of charge from: http://www.arubanetworks.com/products/networking/aruba-instant/training/instant-training/

For Airwave, it probably is best to just get started with the documentation and video's like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdHEj7IcFnk may help with that. There is official training available as well, from http://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/training-services/training/ , however for the specific scenario of just Instant managed by Airwave that might be overkill.
