Problem airwave Variables and templates

    Hi,

     

    im testing Airwave to manage serveral local controllers.

    I fetched the configuration template and use variables.

    But while auditing the variables are not used correctly.

    For exmaple auditing shows the following output:

     

    Actual  ip route 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 10.91.192.9
    Desired ip route 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0

     

    Config in template looks like this:

    ip route 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 %ap_include_1%

     

    That is just one exmaple but for syslocation it is the same.

    Am I totally wrong in using variables?

    I am testing Airwave in Version 8.2.7.1 running on a VM.

     

    We have one central master controller und up to 20 locals.

    Locals differ only in ip adresses, hostnames etc.

    You showed the template side, but you also need to show the side that defines the 'desired'.  Desired = template + variables filled out on device manage page.

     

    Cisco device manage page when config by templates (designated at group level) - in my case, none of the variables are populated, so desired will be as if the variable was blankapinclude.png
