Problems with Airwave heatmap

    Hi community,

     

    we´ve upgrade our airwave to version 8.2.3.1 now our heatmap is not displayed correctly.2017-04-27 14_38_27-AirWave.png

    I test it with different web browsers IE, Firefox and Chrome, the problem was the same.

    I have deleted out all the APs and replaced it in the heatmap, but the problem was not fixed.

    I hope you have some ideas to fix the problem.

    Hi,

     

    I see in VisualRF it displaying all the singnal cut of heatmap colors? Can you change the cutoff singal strength in heatmap and check.

     

    Do you have old visularf heatmap screen shot from which version have you upgraded ?

    Hi,

     

    signal cut off ist set to -95 db but the heatmap does not change.

    I restart the airwave server but still the same problem.

    Hi,

     

    So, even if we change the cutoff singal strength the heatmaps not changing? If we uncheck the heatmap option still it showing heatmpas? If Yes, could you try resize the floor plan and check the status?

    yes no changing when I change the singal cutoff signal strength.

    I resized the floor plan, but it does not fix the problem.

    Hi,

     

    Try below steps

    • Poll the redis database and check if didnt fixed go for second    
      https://<Airwave IP>/visualrf/poll_aps_now.xml
    • Toggle the use metric units setting in VisualRF> Setup page

    I set the butten use metric units to no and now the heatmap works...

    Is there a known issue with the metric unit in this airwave version, one of our costumers had the same problem.

    We have bug DE28374 in Airwave and it will be fixed in 8.2.4.

    Hi Pavan,

    We just upgraded to 8.2.3.1 (unaware of the heatmap issue) and I am experiencing some of what is being stated here EXCEPT that when I upgraded the Master+5 subs. Some of them are showing the heatmaps correctly and others are not. I did attempt the two steps you outlined here but neither seemed to make a difference.

     

    Is there something else that I needed to do?

    Are you seeing this issue after upgrade? AMP 8.2.4 is avaialble to download from support site, try upgrade the server and check the status.

    Will the toggle to Metric cause the system to need a reboot?

    Toggling measurment unit will not reboot the server.
