Folks we have many IAP clusters all being managed by Airwave. We want to group some APs as part of PCI compliance and have then report if they see a rouge AP near by. Right now the system is reporting all Rouges but we want something different. The system should add something special to the alert if the AP reporting happens to be in a certain area or in a group. Is it possible?

All helpful posts would be apperciated and acknoweldged.

We can setup Rogue AP trigger conditon based on folder/group and add description under Alert Notification, when ever any Rogue AP is been discovered by AP which are in that sepecifc folder/group it will trigger alert.

When Aruba central in its alerts says that there is a rouge detected does it meet an AP which is connected to the Lan or an AP not connected to the lan?

Does Aruba central provide visual RF so that we can see where the rouge is located?

Is it a good idea to enable automatic rouge containment.

    Thanks

Its depend on rule, if it you set rule to discover rogue on LAN then you need to check rogue AP on wired side.

I believe we do not have VisualRF option in Aruba Central but feature is available in Airwave. If you want to contain rogue devices then its a good idea to enable containment option, it will block Rogue AP.
